Ministry Plan Statement of Strategic Vision

God is very strategic.  He was strategic at creation, in building of the Old Testament tabernacle, in how the nation of Israel would conquer the Promised Land, and in the coming of a Jesus in fulfillment of the prophetic vision of Scripture.

“The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare.”

Psalm 40:5

“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity…Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”

Ephesians 5:15-17

This Ministry Plan is meant to serve First Baptist Church as a basic organizational guide, an ongoing outline of the churches ministry vision and practice, and a format for the assimilation of new membership into a well-established structure of process.  It is adequate for the current level of growth and at the same time is more than sufficient for future growth.  This strategic approach will both allow and encourage growth without unnecessary turmoil and the need to constantly readdress vision and practice of ministry at each stage of growth.  While the Ministry Plan will be implemented as a whole, the parts that are pertinent to the present level of growth will be used and those parts that stand beyond that current level of growth will be brought on line as the need arises. In this way the church stands ready for the issues related to growth without delay or indecision.
